I was able to borrow an abandoned Acer 760ic laptop for this purpose. Here are the basic specs of the machine as I received it:
- Memory: 8 Megabytes
- Processor: 75 Megahertz
- Hard Drive: 400 Megabytes
- Ports: Video, Serial, Parallel, two PCMCIA slots
