Research Impact
- This spatial analysis was featured in the CityScape journal as a collaboration with Deborah Myerson under the article title Mapping Equity and Exclusion in Neighborhood Associations in Bloomington, Indiana.
- In November 2021, the Executive Committe of Bloomington's Council of Neighborhood Associations, made a formal statement in their minutes to promote being more inclusive: The Executive Committee of the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) believes all neighborhood associations should be open to and responsive to all residents who live within their boundaries.
- In January 2022, the Near West Side Neighborhood Associations Constitution and Bylaws were revised to remove language that excluded based on zoning status.
- In March 2022, the Park Ridge Neighborhood Association adopted new boundaries which were expanded to include some apartments and published new bylaws that removed membership exclusions based on housing type.
